Case Description
I have not seen a dentist since I was 17 years old. I am now 46. I know I need work, but am (1) terrified of the drill AND the bill; and (2) terrified of the prospect of dentures. I am an artist and musician (singer and lead guitar player) in a working band and cannot afford to lose my front teeth. I can't afford a costly procedure unless my dentist is willing to take payments. I have dental insurance, but I think the limit per year is $1,500.00. SO - I am looking for someone who can help me, and do the work as I can afford to pay for it, and not try to talk me into getting more work than what I need.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hello,

I am an experienced restorative family practice dentist in Pinole. I have worked many times with conditions like you describe and would be willing to do an exam and consultation/treatment plan.

We have an "INTRO SPECIAL" offer for $50.oo which covers our exam fee, x-rays and consult / treatment plan. It is difficult to give any kind of accurate estimate without an exam and x-rays...too many variables.

I also work with an office who can provide IV sedation so my patients can be asleep and comfortable when those situations are needed.

You can call my office for this intro appointment if you would like to follow up with this e-mail and we would be happy to try and help you.

Let them know you are responding to the internet.

Good luck,

Dr. Douglas Oliver
