Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Onlays are an excellent treatment choice for minimally invasive restorations that are strong, long-lasting, esthetic, and comfortable. When you are restoring a second molar such as tooth #18, be sure that your dentist understands how to make sure your bite is maintained because if your bite collapses from over adjustment of a second molar, your jaw joint can develop problems. Please see my article on "Special Considerations in Second Molars Restorations" on my website. Also, when onlaying a second molar, it is prudent to over-engineer because the bite forces are stronger in the back. Please see my web site for examples of onlay cases we have done for many years. You will find that our office is more expensive than others and for that reason it is not for everyone. Typically, onlays are $1,600 each. Please feel free to call our office at 510-601-7645 if you wish to schedule a consultation. Or simply go to our web site by clicking this link: http://www.allnewsmiles.com.
